Chinatown & Jing Fong Dim Sum
I can remember my mom stopping in Chinatown to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from the Canal St vendors when I was a kid. In recent years, I’ve also taken to visiting the area to purchase fresh produce and seafood.
On a street photography tour of the area I discovered that there are several interesting side streets off of Canal populated with a wealth of signs and stores that will make you forget you’re in New York. After a long day of taking photos (it was more like 2 hours but you get the point) I grabbed lunch at Jing Fong Restaurant and then ventured into Little Italy for the Feast of San Gennaro (sorry no pictures).
A month later, I returned to Jing Fong with another group and took the food photos featured here.
