Once upon a time, I thought that I disliked flowers. It turns out that this feeling was not completely accurate. As my interest in photography has grown so has my appreciation for the simple beauty of flowers, especially orchids. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that my spring 2010 trip coincided with the United States Botanic Garden 2010 Orchid Exhibit where thousands of orchid species were on display in addition to their normal array of various other flowers.
